Orange and Cranberry Smoothie Bowl

My latest breakfast recipe is for this Orange and Cranberry Smoothie Bowl. A popular instagram favourite, smoothie bowls actually started life as Acai Bowls in Brazil in the 1980s. They have evolved to use a much wider variety of ingredients and toppings to become the smoothie bowls we are used to enjoying today.

Other Ideas

I tend to go through phases of eating smoothie bowls for breakfast and then not eating one for a while. This Orange and Cranberry Smoothie Bowl was a firm favourite of mine over the Christmas holidays.

You can use the natural yoghurt and frozen banana base of this recipe and adjust it to whatever flavour combination takes your fancy. A few of my favourites are:

  • Chocolate and Cashew Nut
  • Strawberry and Kiwi
  • Peach and Blueberry
  • Mango and Pineapple
  • Raspberry and Peanut Butter

Hopefully this gives you some ideas for different flavour combinations to try out.
